Welcome to Troop 1212 Mira Mesa

Troop 1212 of Mira Mesa was established in 1984 and is home to 95 Eagle Scouts. Troop 1212 is a diverse troop where youth and volunteers from all faiths and backgrounds are welcome.

Youth can join Troop 1212 if they are at least 10 years old, currently in the fifth grade and register on or after March 1st; OR have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old, OR are age 11 but have not reached age 18.

A small contingent of Scouts from Mira Mesa attended Camp Emerson in the San Bernardino Mountains July 7-13th. These scouts returned home collectively earning 14 merit badges and 87 Bear Teeth Points. Awards for the Polar Bear Plunge, Marksmanship, 5 in Dime, CPR and Kayaking were also received. Welcome Home Scouts and Job Well Done...

I have long said Troop 1212 is about service before self and we strive to serve our community year round.

I just tallied the hours in scoutbook...In 2023 Troop 1212 racked up 647 hours of community service.

On July 15th, Mr. Noah Yates Troop 1212's first Scoutmaster passed away. He was loved by his family, friends and community. Mr. Yates served as a scout leader for more than 20 years.
